This website is run by volunteers for the men of the 100th Entry, No.1 Radio School, RAF Locking (1962–64), their families and friends. This page explains, in plain English, what information the site holds and how it is looked after.
What we hold
- The members list — names, nicknames, trade, service details, photographs and memories from the original 100th Entry website (2006–2016) and those sent in since, including memorial details for members who have died.
- Email addresses — where a member has given one. They are never shown to the public.
- Accounts — if you have an account: your name, email address, the profile text and photographs you add, your forum posts and your private messages.
- Messages you send us through the Suggestions or Admin contact forms.
Why
To help the men of the 100th Entry keep in touch, remember those who are no longer with us, and organise reunions. Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers or used for any other purpose.
Who can see what
- Most of the history, photographs and the members list can be seen by anyone.
- Email addresses, the forum’s posting features and private messages are for signed-in members only.
- Private messages can only be read by the people in the conversation. They are stored on the website’s server, so please do not use them for bank details, passwords or other sensitive information.
- A small number of volunteer administrators look after the members list and can see members’ contact details and private notes needed to run the site.
The site only emails members when an administrator sends an announcement, such as a reunion. Every member is sent a blind copy, so nobody sees anyone else’s address. You can stop these emails at any time by unticking “Email me announcements” on your My Account page, or by replying to any announcement.
Cookies
The site uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There is no advertising or tracking. Videos on the Nostalgia page are played through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced service, and only when you choose to play one.
Where it is kept
The site runs on a hosted web server. A backup copy is made each night and kept for fourteen days in the site’s own Google Drive, so the site can be restored if anything goes wrong.
Your choices
You can ask to see what the site holds about you, have it corrected, or have your details or photographs removed. Please use the Admin contact page and we will help.
